Safeguarding and Safety are two of our key policies that anyone involved in Scouts must work to.
Everything we do involves an element of risk, and we have risk assessments and plans in place to manage this.
We follow guidance issued by The Scout Association to ensure we minimise any risk, keeping Scouting as safe as we can for all those who participate.
All of our current risk assessments are available here.
The following risk assessments cover the locations where we conduct our meetings, and for generic activities that take place at all meetings e.g. drop off, flag break and collection.
The following are specific risk assessments for activities that we undertake. These will always be used in conjunction with a Places and/or a Hikes risk assessment.
